Summary: beautiful and easy
Review: After making a lot of kusudamas i think it's a pleasure to make
origami quilts! Not more three-D objects. Making origami quilt
is easy. There are 40 colour photographs. I very loved and maked
from a squares "Double Crosses + Crosses" (both sides are very pretty), "Four-Petaled Flowers + Half Crosses 1-B" (look wonderful but it's not easy to understand how to join!), "Flower Crosses + Crosses & Others"(by Mihoko Kittaka, these flowers are style) and "Drops".Sometimes you need a SQUARE (Crosses, Crosses + Squares, Double Crosses + Joints, Crosses + Joints), but sometimes you need an EQUILATERAL triangle (Trefoils, Triangles with Slits or HEXAGONS (Hexagons with outside pleats + Triangles with Slits,Hexagons with inside pleats + Triangles with Slits).
There are figures maked from PENTAGONS or ISOSCELES Triangles also.I found of Windmills and Hydrangeas.
Very beautiful!

Summary: How to make beautiful paper mosaics and decorations
Review: Not about quilts in the classic sense (don't be mis-led by the "Home & Garden" link), this bookis about making "quilts" or geometric quilt-like decorative patterns similar to tile mosaics, using origami (Japanese paperfolding) techniques. Tomoko Fuse is the reigning master of modular origami designs, in which multiple sheets of paper are folded into identical or similar shapes. These are then linked into larger objects, often three dimensional, but in this case, 2 dimensional mosaics. Some modular origami experience is recommended, plus a large supply of origami paper! But the results are spectacular! A must-have for any modular origami fan.
