Summary: You'll love it!
Review: I am not very artistic or crafty but I decided to be brave and try to do a snippets flower vase project. After watching the author construct one on Home & Garden TV, I ordered the book, selected my fabric and supplies, then jumped right in. I was so worried that it would look tacky. But, much to my delight, it turned out fabulous. I still can't believe that I created something so beautiful. Now I am excited about doing a second project to give as a present to my sister. This was soooo easy. The book really helped by providing such wonderful pictures and easy, detailed directions. I would highly recommend giving this book a try. I've just recently purchased the author's first book, Snippet Sensations, to get even more ideas for my next project.

Summary: Best book ever for Beginner or Advanced Creative Quilter!
Review: I have had a heck of a time starting to quilt, as I am afraid of color selection, that is- until I bought this book! This is the most fun I've had in years! The designs are beautiful, fun, and belive it or not, EASY! I am just a beginner! You can complete a project in about a day! This book is fantastic! The other snippet book is wonderful too! If you don't buy these books, you are a crazy quilt, or a bump on a log cabin!

Summary: More fun, part two
Review: I really enjoyed the first Snippet Sensations book. This book helped me to add to my creativity. If you did not purchase the fist book, this book also explains every step thoroughly. Let your imagination go wild! Thank you, Cindy, for this wonderful technique.

Summary: don't waste your time
Review: If you have read one of the Snippet books, it seems you've learned all she has to teach. My book arrived yesterday and it is on it's way back today. Flipping once through it was enough. She even uses the same pattern of the dolphins as your included pattern and the vase and flowers that were promnent in her first book...which by the way I loved.

Summary: Should be titled: Easy Quilts from Snippet Projects
Review: If you wished the first book had more info about making snippet projects into quilts, this is the book for you! I was going to give this book three stars because I felt the title was misleading (I'm not interested in quilting and was looking for new snippet projects), but I give the book five stars because it contains solid information about incorporating snippet projects into quilts. Regardless, I'll pay more attention to the sample pages next time.

I enjoyed the large project gallery and have even applied some quilting techniques to framing my pieces, but I think most people buy this book on the assumption that it contains much of what made the first book so great: lavish coverage of the snippet techniques, step by step project instructions, and a large gallery of projects made using discussed techniques.

Instead, this book does a quick review of the snippet process before launching into the quilt info. The projects and gallery center on pieces that only use a snippet piece to enhance it. For example, a recreation of an anicient Egyptian costume contains a sphinx made with snippets and in the piece based on plane nose art (like the Enola Gaye) the woman's dress is made from snippets.

If you're just beginning, buy the first Snippet Sensations book. If you're intermediate and want to flex your skills on more advanced pieces, skip this book and spend the cash on some new fabric and try making a piece based on a picture you'd find in of those Dover books (art, coloring, etc.). No matter you're skill level, if you think you'd like to work big and/or want to make wall hangings or something similar, this book is a good one to add to your library.

Summary: Better than the first book!
Review: This book is the second in a series according to the author. But, she reviews the basic steps that if this is the only purchase you can still benefit. This book is loaded with beautiful examples of her work. The technique is easy enough for even teenagers to do. Don't feel intimidated by the artistic quality of her work. I am by no means an artist and have made several wonderful pieces. One does not need to be a quilter either although one may become interested in quilting because of this book. Enjoy!!!

Summary: Very impressive results with very little sewing
Review: Very unique style of quilting using fabric scraps. Projects are easy to complete and require very little fabric. Very free and expressive artform, using heat fusible products, requiring very little sewing. The only downside is that the product she highly recommends for using as your heat fusible medium is not available in my area but I have found others that are comparable. Patterns and directions are clear, concise, yet allow you a little freedom. Very impressive results!
