Summary: Good instructions, unusual designs for an A&C Movement book.
Review: MacCarthy draws from William Morris and his associates forher inspiration for her extensive stencilling designs. Unfortunately,her choice of colors and the projects she uses to illustrate the designs may strike American readers as more "country" than Arts & Crafts Movement. Still, both her general instructions and those for the projects are clear and useful for the beginning stenciller who wishes to try these projects, or to use some of the more well-known designs.
