Summary: A must for those entering SAR, with or without a K-9 partner
Review: I first read this book in 1988, since then 5 copies have been permanently "borrowed." I would suggest this well-written book for anyone thinking of starting a young dog in SAR. Bryson gives excellent information on everything from picking puppies for the work, to how a scene can get screwed up. This book makes good reading for folks in EMS and law enforcement as well. It's an easy read, and packed with useful information. It remains one of my favorite, and most recommended dog training books.

Review: This is one of the main books I used in training my own SAR Dogs. This is a wonderful book that they need to put back out in print so it is not so hard to find. If you are able to get this book you will treasure it for years to come.
