Summary: Awsome Ideas!
Review: I Rented this book from my local library. I jumped into it when i was asked to create my sister's wedding invitations. I got some awsome ideas from this book. Yes it is true that not all of the things in this book can be done by one person with out a professional team or printer, however, if you're clever enough you can still pull pieces and parts to put together your own.
The wedding invitations I made were a success and now everyone is talking about them! The invitations are the first impression people get about your party so it is very important to make them believe they have to attend!

Summary: A real treasure chest of inspiration & ideas!
Review: I'm an everyday person and a young, busy professional but when I'm entertaining, I want every personal and social event that I put on to have a touch of the extraordinary...otherwise, why bother?

Some might think that this is just a "vanity piece" but the ideas in this book aren't really there for you to duplicate; they show you what "can be" and offer a wealth of inspiration to those of us who don't want to send out pre-packaged Hallmark invites!

After getting this book a few weeks ago, I've lent it out twice and I've already adapted an idea or two from the book and also created some of my own to put extraordinary, unique touches on my wedding and pre-wedding party invites and print materials...and so can you!

As far as I'm concerned, the details he includes about the expensive celebrity parties are a fringe benefit...It doesn't mean that special invites are reserved for such lavish events. It's just an added touch of fun gossipy stuff like you'd see in "People" or "In Style" magazines!

Great job Marc Friedland!

Summary: A vanity piece--no real tips or suggestions for the reader.
Review: While his work is lovely, I was hoping to find suggestions I could use to jumpstart my own creative ideas, not examine his portfolio. Regrettably, all examples in this book could only be accomplished by hiring a team of designers. If you've got a creative bug and want to craft your own simple, modest, engaging invitations and you're looking for some inspiration, some groovy "how-to"--Forget this book. There's nothing here you can actually implement.
