Rating: Summary: Uniquely cute hat patterns Review: I bought this book for the beret featured on the cover (It's the only one I could find anywhere.) It turned out really well and even better after I looked closely at the pictured and noticed that they had put a thin elastic cord behind the picot edge (it doesn't say to do this in the instructions :( .) About half the book is for socks and booties (I'm not keen on socks as is, but some of the booties are neat.) But the beret pattern plus a striped stocking cap and cute (not fuddy) jester hat are all I need to keep me happy with the book. But I especially love the intro, which has very helpful info and tips that should be included in every basic how to knit book, but are somehow overlooked, i.e. how to weave in the ends without using a needle and how to hide color jogs and changing colors. Overall, this book was worth the money, especially for less than the cover price.
