Summary: Advanced and more traditional patterns
Review: Although not mention on the back cover of this book, most projects on the book is for advanced crocheter or for those who would love working on filet crochet projects. There's even a chapter that explained this particular technique and even practice a pattern or two.

Projects are quit challenging, but they're more traditional, nostalgic style. Stylish home decor projects, from the hall, living room, kitchen, bedroom, bathroom to the nursery. And special times, like tea times and celebrations. But there's also patterns for old-fashioned shawl, gloves, and cute baby jacket, baby dress for your little baby girl. This book has its unique features, that is the edging, braids and insertions part which takes it place on the final chapter. Photograph are full-colour and illustrations given are sharp.

I would recommend this book to avid crocheter, who loves working on doilies and traditional home decor projects. Though these are advanced project, but I think, crocheting skill are relative. If you love working on it, it'll be no doubt that you will learn more about the stitches itself. As the saying goes, " Learning by doing ".

But then again if you're like me, endlessly searching for more contemporary crochet style and looking for something simpler and quick, you'll have to pass this title.

Summary: Variety
Review: This book is good for both new and experienced crocheters. There are lots of different projects to choose from, but only one or two styles of each. There are great gift items, too.

Summary: Excellent for beginners & experts alike - perfect for Xmas!
Review: This superb book explains how to crochet items and gifts for all around your house. Each chapter focuses on a room in the house, with approx. eight items per room. The book includes a section teaching you how to crochet, with very clear illustrations of the different stitches used in the book. This makes the book suitable for beginners. For those that have mastered the basics already, this section can be ignored and you can get straight into making some of the items. I also found it useful that wool/yarn manufacturers are recommended. The book is full of clear photographs that show the finished items well. Each chapter includes a range of items of different sizes & difficulty - this lets you try whatever suits your experience (or mood!) My children especially loved the Christmas tree decorations! Last but not least the final chapter includes a range of original decorative braids that you can use to add that professional finish to your work!
