Review: This book is just lovely. It would be interesting and useful for paper cutters of all levels.There are illustrations detailing both scissor and knife cutting techniques. Following the introduction of each type of technique is a smorgasbord of patterns for practice. There is a good bit of history of scherenschnitte, a chapter on using color, using scherenschnitte on eggs, and how to mount and frame your work. Most of all, I love the many patterns included in the book. Some are simple enough for the first time student, others would challenge an advanced artist. I am new to scherenschnitte and am looking forward to using this beautiful and informative book for many years. This book is a feast for the eyes. Everyone with whom I have shared it wants their own copy! I recommend it to all without reservation.
