Rating: Summary: H.G. WELLS COULDN'T HAVE DONE BETTER... Review: ...than this "Time Machine" that Mr. Gillam has produced. He left no stone unturned. Covered ALL details and variations very thoroughly. I discovered 3 OUTER SPACE MEN in my attic and a Scorpio in my basement. When I was looking for a reference guide to these 60's Spacemen, I coincidentally saw "SPACE TOYS OF THE 60's" on EBay. I said it, you'll say it: "That's how I would have done it!"
Rating: Summary: Space toys of the 60's Great book. Review: I bought this book on ebay from the author and I am very happy with it. It is loaded with pictures of each space toy and has nice text. Some toys are shown in their original package. Best book I have bought in a long while.
Rating: Summary: Wonderful - Fantastic - a MUST OWN for Space Toy Fans! Review: I got this WONDERFUL book today and could not put it down. Just terrific. It was an absolute joy to reminisce on these old toys and I really enjoyed the section on Colorforms Aliens which detailed the never-released 2nd wave COMPLETE with photos! Likewise the rare and unreleased Matt Mason stuff was fabulous! If you loved these toys as a kid - you owe it to yourself to buy this book.
Rating: Summary: My Favorite Book Review: I received "Space Toys Of The 60's" as an early Father's Day present. I loved this book from the moment I opened up the package. Memories of my childhood came rushing back as I went through the pages. As a child, I had all the Major Matt Mason figures, Zeroid Robots, and my favorites... Colorforms Aliens. This book sparked my collecting frenzy (which is ongoing) thanks to James's excellent descriptions and photographs. I loved this book so much, that I had to send one to my brother!(Of course, he loves it too) This is a must have book for anyone who has fond memories of these wonderful toys.
Rating: Summary: Cheaper than Regression Therapy! Review: If anyone had asked me about the toys profiled in this book I would have shrugged and said "Never heard of them." But after two minutes of browsing it's pages I spotted three of my favorite childhood sci-fi toys. I had completed forgotten these cool and bizarre toys that were so much fun for me as a kid. Well worth the money and a lot cheaper than regression therapy.
Rating: Summary: A reference tour-de-force for those wonderful toys Review: If you have any interest in Zeroids, Matt Mason, or Colorform Aliens you have to get this book. A wonderful reference book for those amazing toys from my childhood that no collector should be without. It is hard to believe you can get so much information for such a low price. Overall a wonderful job by Jim and a great trip back to those wonderful days of my youth. Thanks

Rating: Summary: A Tool for the Collector, a Trip for the Space Toy lover. Review: Space Toys of the 60s is a great book with loads of photos! If you are a collector of Major Matt Mason, Zeroids, or Colorforms Aliens, then this book is a must for you. Plenty of detail describes variations among the different items (Did you know that Calisto had both short and long boots?), a great help for discriminating collectors. Even if you aren't a collector, but just want to remember the fun you had playing with these toys when you were younger, this book is the ticket to memory lane. I love it (and I wish I still had all of those toys!). Thanks for the memories, James!

Rating: Summary: Thanks for helping me rediscover an old friend Review: The section on Major Matt Mason brought back many memories of fun times years ago.. Some of the items shown I still had in storage at the Folks house, and the "Hunt" for other pieces in the collection has been great. This was the first book I had seen on MATTEL'S MAJOR MATT MASON. I was impressed by the information shown and the research that must have gone into this book. Plus all of the color pictures help in identifing were the little accessories originally came from. Thanks James!
