Summary: Every woodworker NEEDS this book!
Review: Let's face it. You wouldn't be reading this book if you weren't a woodworker, right? You probably already know what kind of mistakes you're capable of in the shop. This book gives you options to try and fix those mistakes. I had to laugh outloud while reading the book because half the mistakes in the book are things that I've done myself! Lots of design options to save your work from becoming scrapwood.

Summary: Generally good, but don't trust the homemade putty recipe
Review: This book seems to have lots of great concepts in it for (as the title says) fixing and avoiding mistakes. However, I had a very bad experience with the homemade hide-glue/sawdust putty recipe on page 58. I spent an entire weekend trying to get the recipe to produce something useful, but it just doesn't work.
