Summary: This is THE book for church linens
Review: This is the only book I have found on the proper methods and reasons for those methods of making ecclesiastical linens. I bought the book as part of a workshop on altar linens for the Washington National Cathedral. Mrs. Morgan is a wonderful and very patient teacher. After getting home and sitting to read this book I realized that the book is as good as having Mrs. Morgan right there with you to answer questions and help!This book is complete and explains in detail the materials, techniques and any equipment that is needed to make simple yet lovely altar linens. The care and laundering of linens is also covered. And believe it or not, the techniques that Mrs. Morgan teaches help in everyday life from hemming clothing to craft projects! This is a great book for the beginner or for the experienced sewer who wants to get into something new and special. I highly recommend this book.
