Rating: 4 stars
Summary: Another entertaining book by Jack Kramer
Review: This is a great book for anyone trying to grow and bloom orchids in a warm climate. The focus is on the southern United States, but the information will be useful for other areas as well.

The photographs selected are gorgeous and contain a good mix of flower closeups and displays of plants grown in home settings. Basic orchid cultural information is presented in an entertaining way with plenty of illustrations.

Topics include: tips on buying orchids, natural orchid habitats, growing and housing indoor orchids, 200 orchids suitable for southern growers and chapters focusing on outdoor orchids and cut flowers.

One of the most helpful sections of the book is the "Quick-Reference Orchid Chart" which is a alphabetical listing of orchids and their cultural requirements, size and usual time of bloomng.

The Appendix includes lists of mail order sources for orchids and supplies, orchid society contact information and a glossary.
