Rating: Summary: Antique Hardanger Patterns Review: This book is a wonderful reprint of earlier published material. There are no graphs, but the pictures are very clear and the Hardanger enthusiast with some experience can easily handle the patterns, which are typically more complex and densely decorated than the current trends in Hardanger. For anyone interested in a more European look in Hardanger, in antique patterns, and some stitches not commonly seen in most American publications, this book is a must have and a fabulous bargain at the price!
Rating: Summary: Another Look At Antique Hardanger Review: This is another fabulous Dover reprint of a much earlier issue. There are no graphs, but there are some directions and many very clear black and white pictures. Included are examples of different size tablecenters, tablecloths, and a gorgeous runner or scarf. The style of the work is complex and densely packed with stitching. The pieces are very attainable with careful attention to detail. Of the Dover reprints, I think this book has the most indepth instruction.
