Review: This is both an inspiring and instructive book. The author gives a short history of silk production and many helpful hints on working with this fabulous material. She shows many wonderful examples of other quilters' work as well as her own. Several of her own examples come with instructions (including full-sized traceable templates). The examples are truly wonderful - mostly traditional styles done with flair (there's a whole-cloth baby quilt and a couple of fabulous feathered star quilts) and given a special texture and luminosity by being worked in silk. A must for any quilter wishing to go beyond the basics.
