Summary: A Knitting and Crocheting Must
Review: I received this book in the 80's as a gift. I've used it over and over again. It contains sizes 6 months through adult for knitted and crocheted sweaters and has sections for baby, worsted and chunky yarn. I'm buying a second copy for a friend.

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: Best basic book I ever bought about knitting
Review: What a pleasure to have this in my knitting library. The format of this book is so simple and delightfully uncomplicated I can't figure out why it did not get published again and again. You have at your disposal patterns for basic garments in infant, youth, adult men & women sizes. Then you have the opportunity to also choose weight of yarn; sport, worsted, bulky. If you choose to make a more complicated or stylish version of one of these classic patterns ideas and suggestions to stir the imagination are right in the book.
I had a copy of this in early 90's. I had found it at a garage sale for $0.50. WHAT A BARGAN. I used it in many projects then loaned it out...Never to be seen again....Until I thought of searching Amazon for "out of print books". At a total of less than $15.00 I now have thousands of knitting options and sizes and types of yarn again at my fingertips. I could not be more delighted with the speed of delivery from "abebooks.com" through Amazon or the price at which I was able to replace an almost lost edition for my knitting library.
