Review: I am a person who has a lot of money wrapped up in Uniform print books. Napoleonic is my favorite era and I own most of the good works that have been published in the last 20 years. Some of these books can cost up to $500 new or when out of print as much as $700. Now we come to the Jouineau/Jean-Marie Mongin series. Wow, what great books for [item price]. For [item price] you get the uniforms of the Imperial Guard Calvary in color with lots of detail. One of the drawbacks (if you can call it that) is that they are computer generated images. This makes it inexpensive to produce numerous different unifoms. It does of course eliminate the uniqueness of a hand drawn print. But each book has dozens if not hundreds of images. Any person who has an interest in Napoleonic uniforms should gladly pick up this series. Well worth the money.
