Summary: Useful, quick but very thorough reference
Review: Excellent choice! The first few pages tell you about dogs in general, following this with one page of information on each breed (seperating small, medium & large breeds). Then the main thrust of the book is on dog care, which is very helpful, such as what to look for before buying your dog (ex. examining ears, eyes, mouth, body, posture), the vaccination schedule, emergency treatment (choking, CPR, shock), nutrition, toys, collars/leashes, grooming/bathing (which brushes/combs), fleas/ticks, worms (chart to compare them & symptoms), diseases. I ordered a few books on dogs & this is my favorite.
