Review: I directed camps for 17 years. During that time the staff used thousands of candles for worship, rituals, conversations and sharing pieces of their lives. I experienced first hand the power of candles to bring people together in peace, and to open each other to deep, sensitive sharing. Candles nurtured gentle truth and honest trust in relationships. All of the candles we used were the "pillar" type. After reading Rebecca's chapter on candles, I now see how different types of candles could have been used to further enhance a relational atmosphere. Atmosphere for caring is a gift that the right type of candle in the right place at the right time can offer our life together. Thanks, Rebecca, for the wonderful insights on new options.

Review: I read this book to find out if it would be useful for my 23-year-old son. Because I log many hours with home and garden TV, read all the books and magazines, visit the decorator showcase homes, and am very old, I didn't expect to learn anything for myself. I did. And yes, using the ideas in this book, my son will be able to make significant decorator improvements while waiting for the pizza and his date to arrive at his door.
