Summary: Fantastic Pictures of Crissy and her outfits
Review: I was so thrilled to recently read this book. It is wonderful such beautiful photos of Crissy in all her different outfits. As I live in Australia I rarely see many of the extra outfits and this book was a joy to read and look at the fantastic photography. Many thanks for a great book.

Review: This book has absolutely beautiful Crissy family pictures. I think a new collector would be in awe and an established collector would be keeping their wish list growing! Filled with interesting information too!

Summary: Pretty Pictures, But Lots of Errors
Review: This book is one of two I own related to Crissy family dolls. While this book has beautiful photos and Ms. Cross is very charming and likeable writer, her book is filled with errors relative to these dolls. A few that come to mind are that Ideal reissued later Baby Crissys in a harder plastic. This is simply untrue -- as a child, I owned a later-issue soft limbed Baby that only over the course of many years experienced a deterioration of her plastic resulting in a gradual hardening of one of her legs, thus resulting in what Ms. Cross describes in her book as a mixing of hard & soft body parts by Ideal on these dolls. In addition, the eyes on many of these dolls oxidize with time..Ms. Cross describes rare green eyed Mia & Velvet dolls, while I myself own a green eyed Mia, a one green eye/one purple eyed Velvet and a one green/one brown eyed Kerry. I know quite a few other collectors who own similar variations. This process occurs quite often in these dolls and it is not at all rare to find odd colored eyes on Crissy's family & friends. While the book is very enjoyable to page through, I would not consider Ms. Cross a source of expert information.

Review: This book is worth every penny. Lots of clear beautiful pictures- tons of outfits and dolls included in the book- with nice pictures and descriptions. No accessories included in the book and the value guide was not great- it was listed at the end of the book and the specific doll outfits were not priced individually.

Summary: Just Spectacular!
Review: This is truly a wonderful book for any collector to own. The photos are sensational and the information far reaching. It has many hi-lights such as personal stories, redressing hints and fab M.I.P photos which clearly show all original accessories. It also shows the back of the original clothes cards with the kicky illustrations that had young children clamouring for more. The warmth and humour that flows thru this book is indicative of someone that truly loves and appreciates these dolls and not that of a megalomaniac who thinks they have the only information in the world. This book is a must for any collector.
