Summary: A fairly good historical reference
Review: This is a good book for any jewelry designer who wishes to research jewelry trends through history. It is a very useful guide for a historical overview of jewelry. For those more interested in detailed information on a particular time period though I would reccomend a book more specific the time period of intrest. With that in mind, I thought that this book was very well done. The pictures are large and clear, enabling a good view of details. The accompanying text is also very informative for the given time periods.
