Rating: Summary: A book worth reading over and over Review: What a Amazing Combination, a gold winner C.W Meisterfeld Canine Psychoanalyst certified by the US Judicial System (1982) and Ernest F Pecci MD. Chief Psychiatrist for the California Youth Authority (1980-1985) "sharing their combined 60+ years of experiences and understanding of the neurological psychological and emotional parallels and similarities between humans and dogs.
On the back cover is the Golden Rule (key) to conditioning Man & Mans Best Friends behaviour and a graph of the W.T.S (will to serve) and W.T.P (will to power) which I have never seen before in any other books (except Dr Meisterfeld's Jelly Bean verses Dr. Jekyll & Mr Hyde.
The comparison of the Brain of Man and Dog chapter written by Dr Pecci enhanced with a coloured picture was very enlightening and was written in Layman's terms and easy to read. Pecci's ANGER TO VIOLENCE SYNDROME chapter with coloured charts was also most informative and help me to understand the 10 points of "Going Off" Anger to violence syndrome and human behaviour.
In Dr Meisterfeld's chapter RAGE Dr. Jekyll & Mr Hyde there are only 5 points of causation, he writes about a 10 pound miniature poodle Pierre that was the catalyst for his becoming a self taught canine psychoanalyst back in 1963 when the owners left Pierre too long he would go into a rage and destroy whatever was closest to him. This rage behaviour is now called Separation Anxiety and convinced me that Meisterfeld is the pioneer of canine psychoanalysis because 40 years ago there was no one in the field of canine mental health.
There are 36 short chapters which switches from Meisterfeld to Pecci back to Meisterfeld. Half way thru the book I realized that there definitely is Amazing Parallels * Similarities between DOG & HUMAN BEHAVIOUR.
