Summary: Skims the Surface
Review: I felt the book touched on the basics but never really gave me anything to start my own business. Many of the pages were filled with large photograhphs instead of in-depth knowledge. I was hoping for a book that would tell it all so that I could go out and begin a faux painting business...with confidence. Not impressed.

Summary: Faux For Dough
Review: I thought the book was definitely not geared for a professional faux finisher. It was way too general in nature to really help someone start a faux finishing business. It needs more specific information on business aspects. Most of the information given in the book was just common sense & did not warrant the purchase of this book. There are other books on the market that do a much better job of giving one the in depth information needed to start their own painting business. This book was, sadly, a big disappointment.

Summary: Faux for DOH!
Review: If you are someone who isn't looking to necesarily start your own business, but rather, have a hobby you charge for on the side then this book is right for you. It won't, however, give insight on how to conduct yourself in a professional business manner, how to deal with clients, what business practices are necesary with regards to paperwork, etc., or how to go about advertising successfully.
