Rating: Summary: Not very informative Review: I love decorating and am always searching for little pieces that lend a feel of authenticity to a room. With French country being so popular right now, I thought this book would provide some helpful information on what types of items I should watch for. -It does touch on this, showing examples of all sorts of items you'd find in an old French kitchen... But there is little more than a brief paragraph on each item and only a few photos to go along with it. -I truly hate to criticize. -I know that a lot of time and effort goes into a book... But this one just left me feeling disappointed. I was expecting a little more on the history of the items and it would have been nice to see at least one photo of a period French kitchen displaying some of the items featured in the book. This book is basically 93 pages of pictures. And most of them you can see just by enlarging the photo of the front cover. Furthermore, for being a book about "The Art of Collectibles", the author barely even touched on the collectibility of these items. -I still don't really know what the best items are to invest in, nor do I know how these things would've been displayed. I think if you are interested in French kitchenware/kitchens, you'd be better off shopping for something else.
