Review: Terri Shumsky's years of solid experience show through in this fabulous guide for both pet owners and those who breed dogs. This book offers practical advice in easy to understand language. And her advice applies to pure bred dogs and those of uncertain parentage. Everyone who has a dog should read this book. Everyone who is thinking about getting a dog most definitely should read it.

Review: This is a great book! Terri covers every aspect of finding, buying, training, breeding, and caring for a dog. Lots of up-to-date easy to understand detailed information. Extra information on toy breeds including Yorkies. I bought a few extra books and gave them to friends.

Review: Well, Mrs. Shumsky has done it again with her second book, but too a much wider audience of dog readers. I read her first book, " How to Buy and Raise Your Toy Dog", but this one covers that one plus alot more and is so well indexed with a blink of an eye you can find whatever you are looking for. From finding a good, reputable breeder, to raising the pup to adulthood, feeding and training, along with medical problems, along with solving and learning about many medical problems, and a real special section for breeders which covers the pregnant female to the actual whelping and aftercare of Mom and puppies. It is a wonderful read and very easy to follow and understand. Thank you Terri Shumsky for another wonderful book to help us and our canine friends.
