Summary: George Jones Ceramics
Review: "George Jones Ceramics" has been well researched and is beautifully presented. It is about a major 19th century English pottery business, of which little was known before Robert Cluett's book. Archived collections and histories of nineteenth century potteries have generally been neglected in favour of older potteries and because of museum financial constraints. But they all have a place in the history of ceramics and until this book was produced there were fears that much information about George Jones Pottery would be lost forever. The best part of this beautiful book, for my family, is the history of George Jones' family and descendents which is included. George Jones was my husband's great grandfather.
