Review: This book contains excellent photographs of eagles including action shots, still shots, and closeup photos of the birds' features. It includes poetry and Indian lore having to do with eagles, as well as personal notes from zoologists and other eagle enthusiasts. There is an interesting section on the historical significance of the eagle, beginning with Benjamin Franklin's suggestion of the bald eagle as the national symbol and ending with today's efforts to save the eagle from extinction.
