Review: As we dream about and shop for our second home, we have been collecting books on the topic. Unfortunately, we grabbed this one (in hardcover) without spending enough time going through it first. The editors seem to have chosen those homes with no clue about what kinds of homes readers would relate to and what kind of information readers would want. For a much more satisfying mix of dreamy homes and helpful information, our #1 pick is a book called SECOND HOME: FINDING YOUR PLACE IN THE FUN. It lets us dream and relax but also puts us on the "trail" of our own getaway place.

Review: This book is old. I thought it looked dated and then saw that it was originally put out in 1990 -- 11 years ago. If you're looking for current design and fresh inspiration, do NOT buy this book.
