Summary: Unforgettable, Informative, heart-warming true story
Review: A memorable marvelous journey with one blue jay and her adoptive family over the last twenty years. The mutual love and respect between bird and human allowed for cross-learning, as Jasyon developed a love of diet, musical repertoire, and other atributes learned from her humans, while her humans learned about the miraculous longevity, adaptability, musical prowess, and other "secrets" that could only be revealed to day-to-day watchers and caregiviners. A book for everyone interested in nature, knowledge, human-animal co-habitation, mutual learning and love.

Summary: Great book, tender story
Review: This book is a must for anyone who loves animals. It helps you answer the question, "What should happen to a sick wild animal? Should it be left for nature to deal with, or rescued and cared for by a family?"

This is the story of a blue jay named Jayson, who was probably not meant to live very long, but through the caring of the author and her family, has enjoyed life for some 20 years now. The story follows the illness and injuries, the remarkable recovery, and entertaining moments experienced with a wild blue jay in your household.

I bought this book a few weeks ago and had the idea that my ladyfriend could read the book out loud to me so that we could enjoy it together. Every free night she would read a chapter to me. Together, we laughed and cried and felt everything about Jayson.

We came to the last chapter and had trouble reading it. The book is so good, that we didn't want the story to end. But don't worry, I contacted the author and Jayson is still alive at this writing.

Buy the book. You won't be disappointed.
