Rating: Summary: Good and useful, but not best ever Review: I added this book to my growing collection of baby knitting pattern books.... And while it's a good addition (my favorite patterns so far have been for some cute, and original baby blankets) to my library, I think that any of the baby knitting books by Debbie Bliss or the Knitting for Baby book are all better than this one. This book has some cute patterns (the girls' swing coats, the one-piece striped jumpsuit), but also some that I felt were sort of sloppy and shoddily made (the hat and sweater and booties on the cover of the book, for example). Some of the neck holes on the sweaters are such that they look all stretched out, and not very cozy. The books mentioned above, I think, have better constructed, more elegant sweaters. FYI: this book has many more patterns appropriate to girls than boys. Furthermore, while a couple of the patterns are toddler sized, most are not (many are sized up to only 9mo or so). So, if you're knitting for a girl, and/or building on a pre-exisiting library, you'll probably enjoy this book. I would, however, recommend against this book as your very first.

Rating: Summary: one of my favorites Review: I have this book and have knitted two sweaters out of it so far. I have plans for more. The patterns are easy to follow and make up. I have had to substitute yarn as Jaegar and Rowan are not available in my area. The substitutions have worked out well. My favorite pattern is a bear sweater with ears... a really neat and easy made idea...

Rating: Summary: best pattern book ever Review: I rarely purchase pattern books, because usually only a handful of the patterns are original and interesting. This book was totaly different. Every pattern is worth making, and I've knitted up quite a few. These are not only beautiful, they're easy to read. I highly recommend it.
Rating: Summary: Lovely Baby Knits!! Review: I was really quite surprised about what I found to knit in this book. They have a LOVELY moon, star, & heart blanket, 3 beautiful sweater swing jackets for the little princess in your life, a wonderful fair isle twin set for your toddler, and beautiful cardigans for anyone you know who is having a baby. A great book for the baby/toddler knitter's library. Happy knitting! Nanette of Fruitland, ID
Rating: Summary: boooring Review: Well I had the opprotunity to read this book in Finnish, so I am not sure whether the content is 100% the same. Yes I agree that these designs ar cute but for me as an intermediate/advanced knitter these styles were very boring. Mainly these were plain stociknette stich or garter stich patterns. But the worst part was that the author had come up with some ideas and repeated them in many patterns in the book.
