Rating: Summary: Embroidered Flowers by Pamela Watts Review: The author has developed or refined unique techniques for introducing depth and texture in contemporary embroidery. The book whets one's appetite with the use of real rose petals and goes on to illustriate shadow work, beading, textured stitches, applique (including burnt edge), fabric printing, cross stitch, canvas work, machine embroidery and more, if you can believe it. It is by no means a tutorial, aiming instead to shift our minds from the usual to the outstanding.
