Nautical Knits for Kids

Summary: STYLISH
Review: I am big into Debbie Bliss' designs. This book is not different to her previous I own: great designs, very fashionable, and totally practical. The colors are beautiful, and if you are able to find the same cottons she uses, the results are a guaranteed success. The book has very easy to follow instructions if you have knitted before. Unlike her most recent book, Quick Baby Knits, this book has diagrams and I hope she continues to include them in future publications: they are most helpful. I have two girls (14 months and 2 and a half years' old) and they get a lot of "mileage" out of these sweaters. In this Nautical collection, my favorite piece is the baby blanket: easy to make, and a great heirloom for generations to share.

Summary: Nice looking designs
Review: Like all of Debbie Bliss's books, these designs look terrific. So do the pictures, though it's hard to tell what some of the sweaters will really look like. The clean, crisp lines of these sweaters appeal to me more than some of the more elaborate sweaters of her other books and I plan to make several of them. Be warned, that even though this is titled for "kids", many of the designs don't go past 18 months. Frustrating for this mom of a 2-yr-old.
