Summary: Pairpoint Lamps
Review: This is an excellent pictorial book showcasing the beautiful Pairpoint lamps. However, I felt that there could have been more information given. For example no manufacturing dates were given for any of the lamps. The company was in operation for many years and it would be nice to know which lamps were earlier examples, later examples, etc. Also, no sizes for lamp bases are mentioned. I was interested in a particular lamp shade and have no idea how tall the appropriate lamp base would have been. There is a rarity scale of 1 - 3, but it is difficult to understand. Which is best? exceptionally rare, unusually rare, or choice? Maybe an explanation of "choice" would be helpful. Is "choice" the most desirable or least? The book itself contains over 200 wonderful photos and several pages of original ads. It would also have been helpful to be given some idea of values of the lamps. I know that they are quite collectible, but no information was given on how or where to have one appraised.
