Rating: Summary: A Visual Treat Review: This book deals with architechtural details/ornament in New York City. There are 3 pages of useful definitons - a couple paragraphs on each subject - for instance, an anchor or a terminus, telling what it is, it's use, and what it's typically made of - all in easy to understand language. There are also drawings of building faces showing where the defined items are located. Then pages and pages of very nice color photos - no more words - just great pix. Alot of the photos are 2" X 2", nine per page. There is a good mixture of close-up and wide view shots, and the photos are in logical groupings (like the capitals are together on several pages, and the anchors are together on several pages). I liked it enough that I bought the book - and I rarely buy books, just use the library.
