Rating: Summary: Amazing Review: This book is well crafted nad follows true to the seires. Meg Cabot writes yet another spell binding novel. In Princess in Pink, Mia is dealing with not so ordinary problems. She worries about the Prom and about the future of her genovea. She finally has a boyfriend and now all she wants is to go to prom. Her Grandmother and best friedn are feuding and she is trying to pass Algebra. Whats a gril to do. This book is written with witt and it makes you wish you too were a princess.
Rating: Summary: 5 letters: T R A S H Review: This book plain reeked if you were over the age of ten. Come on, the people reading these books did not start off liking them because Mia loved asinine junk like the prom and if her boyfriend was going to break up with her. The only good thing in this book was Lilly, and there wasn't even that much of her.
You really want to know? just read the first three books and stop there. There's no point in going on if you want a three-dimensional heroine.
Rating: Summary: great book!!!! Review: this book rox my sox off! haha but seriously, this book was a great read. It contains all the important stuff for a good book: teens, boyfriends, conflict, friends, and girls! its a must read for all teen girls! and for those who find it unappropriate (this is you, ytuka or however you spell it) its not. so grow up and realize that the students you teach (jr. high) may already have boyfriends and they (OMG) may have gotten to 2nd base. heaven forbid that people should read about what actually happens in the real world. god, turn on mtv for a sec, would you? so stop trying to parent the whole world and appreciate the authors correct showing of situations in the real teenage world. in a few years, those teens you have in class may be having sex. so ya kno, its not that big of a deal to read about a character getting to 2nd base in a book. this is a shout out to meg: we love your books. keep writing the way you do!
Rating: Summary: Really good Review: This book was so good! If you loved the first four, you will love the fifth. This book was so funny, with a ton of outrageous stuff happening(my favorite was with Boris and the globe!). The only thing I didn't like was how Mia obsessed about the prom so much. This is a must read.
Rating: Summary: Best in the series so far Review: This is the best one in the series. I got the book the Saturday (...) It's about Mia wanting to go to the sneior prom with Micheal, but he doesn't want to. On top of this Lily has organized a strike for the working busboys in New York, and Grandmere is on the opposite side. The only way Micheal with go to the prom is if the rest of his band can come. Simple answer to this right? Let his band play. Since it's Mia, it is of course not that simple. She has to convince the head of the prom commitee, Lana, to let them play. It is impossible to out down.
Rating: Summary: Ow my brain... Review: This was the worst book in the P.D. series! Mia whines. And complains. And whines some more about her annoying boyfriend who WON'T TAKE HER TO PROM!!!!(gasp shock!!!!) Who really cared? I hadn't read the other books in a while so I decided to re-read them and realized that they were nothing more than loooong whine fests. Try reading Angus, Thongs, and Full-Frontal Snogging if you want a book that's acually worth reading!
Rating: Summary: better than the last Review: Well, Meg Cabot has managed to save Princess Mia from certain doom. Like many readers, I found Princess in Waiting, the follow up to the hilarious and stellar Princess in Love, to be a bit flat. The story was sluggish and there was no real movement. Fortunately, this latest installment pulls the series back into the spotlight. Mia is still trying to achieve self-actualization and in this book she really begins to come to an understanding about what is and isn't within her royal powers. Lily takes a sharp dip but it is Mia's handling of Lily's sudden change that, I think, makes Mia shine in this book. Mia also learns how to think creatively and how to be truly grateful. The book, though, sadly lacks much of the elements that have made the first three so classic- Mia's family (with the exception of Grandmere) are relegated to the sidelines and Lana W.'s only tauntings are the occasional "freak". Still, with a fantastic summer ahead of Mia, I have high hopes for her future! This is a fun read that will leave you feeling good and ready for more Mia fun!
Rating: Summary: Another Hilarious Adventure for Mia Review: When I found out Meg Cabot had written a 5th book for this series, I couldn't wait for it to come out and I am very pleased with it. The Princess Diaries are never anything amazing, but are an easy way to have a great time. This time Mia has found her match- how to get Michael to attend the prom. He thinks it's lame and would rather go bowling, but it's Mia's dream to go... Grandmere has also caused a massive busboy and restaurant strike in the city, causing chaos in Mia's life. Plus she temporary loses Lily as a best friend to a new hot foreign busboy...The only downside of this book is that it truly brings out how self-absorbed Mia is, if it wasn't already apparent. But then again, this is her diary! =) A must read for all Cabot fans!
Rating: Summary: Another Fabulous Book! Review: Yay! I waiting in great anticipation for the fifth installment in the series, and I was not dissapointed at all! In "Princess in Pink" Mia still has her same voice, same emotions, and same tendencies, with something new to obsess over: THE PROM. She doesn't know if Michael will ask her, then Grandmere does something that puts all of New York City in chaos...not to mention what happens with Boris and Lilly. Meg Cabot does a great job keeping Mia that exact same as she has been throughout the first four and a half books. She wrote a hilariously entertaining book that will be delight for all fans of Princess Diaries. PS There's something about Grandmere in here that may shock some people...or confirm some people's suspicions!
Rating: Summary: Vastly improved from 4 but still lacking Review: Yes, I admit, after book #4, I had my doubts if Meg Cabot could ever write another Princess Diaries book as good as the first three. But boy was I wrong... We catch up with Mia almost at the end of the school year. Of course things are now definitely clicking better than the beginning of the year. She is going to become a big sister and has just gotten a job on the newspaper "The Atom", even if it is the lowly position of reporting the school's lunch menu for the week. (Just as a side note : I loved the issues of "The Atom" in this book! Wish there had been more. They were so light-hearted and fun to read). But the best thing of all is that she has the world's greatest boyfriend, the love of her life, Micheal and it is Mia's dream of a lifetime to go the the school Prom with Micheal and spend an evening with him and hopefully getting to "second base". Unfortuntely things go all wrong before they do right. A diaster at Mia's 15th birthday party has caused the whole city's busboys to go on strike and now both Grandmere and Lily are in a deadlocked battle against eachother because of it. If things don't get settled soon, there might be no prom at all. But most importanty, the BIGGEST problem is that Micheal thinks the Prom is LAME!!! LAME!! Can Mia work some magic so her dream comes true? Or will she have to spend all her life regretting that she never went to the Prom with her love? Okay, okay, enough with telling what happens. Now onto my opinion of the book. Like always, Mia made me laugh with all the idiot things she keeps coming up with. Being the same age as Mia herself, I can relate to some of those lame teen things everybody goes through. But my favorite part was when Mia thought she had Asperger's syndrome. So why didn't I give this book 5 stars? Because Mia obsessed way too much about the prom! Every other thought of hers was HOW AM I GOING TO GO TO THE PROM or WHY HASN'T MICHEAL ASKED ME TO THE PROM. Way too repetetive. Besides that, this book was a vast improvement over #4, and I can say that Mia is officially back, bright and bubbly.
