Review: I enjoy thrillers and murder mysteries and this one was top notch. Except for the heroes constantly going into dark places ALONE looking for the murderer. Anyone who has ever seen a horror movie knows better than that. Otherwise I would have given it 5, not 4 stars. A really good, fast read about a regular guy whose life takes a horrible turn one ordinary day; when an ordinary looking man shoots him, then rapes and kills his wife. Joining forces with a seen-it-all detective, they hunt for the serial murderer who is always one step ahead of them. If you enjoy a good book, check this one out.

Review: I read this book July 10, 1993 on a beach in Eastern Michigan and have yet to find its equal. Seven friends also read it and we compaired notes as to if WE would have let Meade in the house, it led to heated discussions. Now in December, '98 we wonder when Michael will thrill us again? Deceptions didn't dissappoint! Have ordered Lies and have hopes for another great thriller. WE LOVE MICHAEL WEAVER!!

Review: Incredible pace and characters in this thrilling can't put it down book. I read this genre all the time and this is the best one I have read yet. Only book of this type to ever bring a tear to my eye, (bedroom chalk scene). Buy it!!! All of my friends have concurred.
