Summary: Best Book I have ever Read!!!
Review: I am typically not a reader and definately not a Danielle Stelle reader. I was bored at work one day and borrowed the book from my grandmother. It was the most heartfelt and touching book I have ever read and I have recommended it to all of my friends!!

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: Extremely Real
Review: When I had finished reading, I felt as if I knew him personally. I cried when he past away. This is one of the most touching books I have ever read.

Summary: Bright Light!
Review: I highly recommend this book! Bipolar disorder (manic depression), is not well understood by society. After reading it, not only did it help me to understand it more, but it also made me realize that it's as if I had written the book myself. I can relate with everything Danielle Steel wrote. I have a 10 year old son who has TS/OCD/ADHD and his neurologist thinks there's a high chance that he may be bipolar. This book can be a life saver! Get it now!

Summary: POWERFUL
Review: This is a very powerful book, and it's really both heart-warming and sad. It's a shame that her son went through such a terrible thing which led him to fate, and it sure did leave a powerful effect on Danielle Steel. Although romance novels do express love between two different persons, there are different types of love. In this case, this is more than just the love between a mother and his son, this a very strong, powerful love that could never be brought down and can break through a wall of steel without any trouble. The message from this book, I think, is that you have to really appreciate those who you most care about and if they are down, always be there for them before it's too late. This book can teach a person who doesn't feel love what love is, and teach those who do feel love what unconditional love is. This book is the best I ever read from Danielle Steel. I suggest this book to basically anyone who does feel close to someone and has strong feelings and emotions for someone. This book is highly recommended as far as I am concerned!

Summary: Excellent tribute to her son!
Review: This book being a true story was so enlighting of the diseases of depression and ADD. My heart went out to Mrs Steele. She told it like it was, more people should read this and realize famous people have their crosses to bear the same as all others. This is truly a story of mother and son devotion. A mother never gives up on her child no matter what, she will do all she can to keep him or her happy and alive. When your child aches a mother aches as well. I could not put this one down.

Summary: a life saving book.
Review: A MUST READ FOR ANYONE THAT IS MANIC DEPRESSIVE. ATRUE AND ACCURIT DESCRIPTION OF BIPOLAR DISORDER. WORDS ALONE CANNOT EXPRESS THE AFFECT THIS BOOK CAN HAVE ON OTHERS. FOR A DIFFERENT OUTLOOK, LISTEN TO THE AUDIO CASSETTE VERSION. A HIGHLY POWERFUL AND TRUE STORY.

Summary: Obsessive compulsive mother in deep denial.
Review: In the book, DS reports that she stays up all night writing novels. She mothers her nine children by day and they don't know she is a famous author. When does DS sleep? She's been married four times. I'm not convinced that manic depression killed Nick. Not being able to live up to his mother's expectations of acceptable behavior may have. Nick needed his dad or his stepdad to come in between Nick and his mother and be a real father. I mourn the loss of Nick. But no one seemed to be able to rescue him from his loving mother. This is the story of a rich dysfunctional family, complete with highly paid entourage.

Summary: What right do you have?
Review: I honestly want to know what makes you people who said Danielle Steel never loved her son, or her other children, an authority on the subjuect? What right do you have to say a woman whose son was dying a slow and tragic emotional death was selfish and greedy? Steel says in the beginning of this book that what she is doing is to help others who have the same problems as Nick did, and help the parents of these children grow to understand more about this life-consuming disease. For those of you that said Steel probably caused his illness, my father works as a therapist and has told me that it's unlikely for other people to bring it on them since most are born with it. As in, FROM BIRTH. You know, that time when you first open your eyes upon the world, and are unable to comprehend? Anyway, if you had read the book properly and thoroughly, Ms. Steel say, quite frequently actually, that Nick was showing signs from infancy, although she did not know it at the time. So, those of you who believe she is a cold-hearted woman, grow up and develop a heart. then when you have a tragedy as great as this one, write a book and see how easy it is to publicsize a loved ones memories. I dare ya.

Summary: Danielle Steele is a guilt ridden neurotic.
Review: Danielle refused to keep her kid off drugs, which should have been her prioroty. but she let him get out of control, It does prove the point that manic depression is serious

Summary: Excellent
Review: To all of you who thought this book was terrible. I am a mother of a 11 year old child with bipolar. First of all to love a child with this disease is hard there is no such thing as unconditional love. It is love that you have to work at each and everyday. It is living each minute of your life wondering if your child would be better off some where else. It's having people who just don't understand about mental illness give you advice. It's having people tell you "oh let me take that brat for a week and I'll staighten them out". Its living every day of your life wondering if this is going to be the day that they suceed at ending it all. I give Danielle Steel credit for being able to write such a great book. Some of you say that its not well written. WHO CARES Its the first time that I have read something and can show people yes thats what we live with everyday. Thats what my child feels, thats what his sister and brothers feel. So you great critics out there who may or may not live with a bipolar person. I commend Danielle Steel for showing us that we are not alone and that maybe just maybe be finally have some one on our side!!!!!!!!!
