Rating: Summary: Good Read Review: This book was a good read. It keeps you turning the pages until you finish it. It is provocative and raps many historical facts around its fast-pace. I won't give it away, but the ending is a little weird. Nonetheless, it's a fun read all the way through.
Rating: Summary: An amazing and insightful book Review: This book was a page turner from moment one. It is filled with so many factual, and interesting information that it really gets you thinking. Rating: Summary: Amazing Review: This book was a page turner to say the least. Not wanting to put it down and continue on at all hours of the night to see what will happen next was what was occuring wit me. For people to hate this book, they are just being ignorant. Yes it is FICTION and has some great thinking parts. Look at the cover in the mirror and see what the writing beholds for YOU! Recommend this to EVERYONE. A must read! Dont miss out!
Rating: Summary: Code Breaking Fun! Review: This book was a page turner. I found the historical and religious information facinating (and I don't normally like too much history in my fiction.). Even if most don't agree with the information, it was a fantastic read. Dan Brown is a creative genius!
Rating: Summary: Getting Caught Up in the Suspense Review: This book was a real escape from the day to day realities of life. The fact that the entire story takes place in one day was also very interesting. You never had time to rest. I found the book hard to put down once I got started. I was sucked in right from the beginning. I think the book was very cleaver. I would highly recommend it.
Rating: Summary: Don't be so gullible! Review: This book was a relatively quick read and just barely enough of a mystery to keep me going to the bitter end. But there are so many problems with it. Like other reviewers, I had many of the clues figured out long before they were revealed. The premise of the book--and the various aspects attached to it--are so totally absurd as to be laughable. The end was disappoiinting. And, as other reviewers before me have pointed out, the author's "facts" are anything but accurate. I can only assume that Dan Brown is trying to be sensationalistic (for the sake of monetary gain?) in his "revelations" about Christ, the Catholic Church, paganism, the Nag Hammadi, the Dead Sea Scrolls, Mary Magdalene--not to mention Da Vinci and his works, along with other famous artists, scientists, etc. How does Brown figure his "facts" are more valid that the thousands of scholarly works which are in conflict with his book?Since many reviewers before me have pointed out specific contraditions of Brown's revelations, I won't do so again. I must say, however, that I am appalled that so many readers are so ready to be taken in by Brown's assertions that the things he writes are true. Many reviewers have written that their "eyes have been opened." Wait a minute here. Just about any author, film maker, TV executive--or man/woman on the street--knows that controversy sells, and sells BIG. Dan Brown certainly knows it. And he's getting rich while he trashes religion, distorts truths, tarnishes reputations and destroys faith. He's anti-Christian and wants all of us to join him. My advice: For Heaven's sake, don't be so gullible! Take this book with a grain of salt. If it makes you doubt your beliefs, find out the truth for yourself. Don't take Dan Brown's word on it.
Rating: Summary: A fantastic read Review: This book was a truely fantastic read, I wasn't able to put the book down till I actually finished, such is the gripping nature of it. Everything, is in such great detail, and every question that arose in my mind, while reading the book, was answered somewhere later in the text. The cryptic clues are not too obvious either, and the story line isn't predictable, which is the case with some books. I had mant thoughts crossing my mind while reading the text. This I believe is a clear indication that in this book you can maintain an interest, and it makes you keen to keep on reading. All of the escape plans devised by devised by Sophie Neveu and Robert Langdon are pure genius, as was their escape when they were in the hangar just as they'd landed at Biggin Hill. Everytime you expect them to get cornered by the DCPJ, they find some way out! The text also provides a lot of information for the reader which enables them to feel like their actually living the scenes in the book. This is one of those books, that could make a blockbuster film in my opinion! A definite must buy! You won't be able to put it down! Trust me!
Rating: Summary: Waste of Money!!!! Review: This book was a waste of an acre of trees! This book was fragmented, and a waste of reading. By the time you figure out why people are being killed you want to throw the book out! I returned the book after reading it twice, all the way to the end! The storyline stinks and if you want an EXCELLENT read, by something by Stephen King or Michael Crichton, even Anne Rice! Do NOT WASTE your money on this book!
Rating: Summary: Incredible Read Review: This book was absolutly incredible. Dan Brown is a genius. I could not put it down. Fast paced action and intricate plot lines brought it all together. Highly recommended. Pure Genius. Well researched and great characters. Will keep you longing for more.
Rating: Summary: The best book I've ever read Review: This book was AMAZING! I finished it in only a couple of days (I'm an active college student) and I wanted to read it all over again! This book was so thrilling, and what a page turner! It also makes me rethink the way I look at modern symbols now, and has really turned me on to cryptology and art history.
