Summary: Fun even id you are not a shopper
Review: Confessions Of A Shopoholic is a very funny book. It starts out with "OK...DON"T PANIC it's only a Visa bill I know exactly how much I spent this month aroud 300 pounds or 400 acctually come to think of it that posh rug was 250." The book goes on like that, it is vry fun any funny how this girl who is ironicly a financial jurnalist gets out of her debt situations and manages to look professional. The first book is probably the best in my opinion, there is also "Shopoholic Takes MAnhatten" where she moves to New York with her boyfriend and "Shopoholic Ties the knot" which I am reading right now ( not literaly of course) where she gets married and plans this huge expensive wedding. Even if you don't live in England with english money(Pounds) or know any of those English desinger shops, you will still get it and soon you will be saying "Hey can you lend me 20 quid?" (slang for pounds like bucks is for dollars) The book also isn't all about shopping the girl also has a personal life ans A best friend who she shares an appartment or flat with. It is also hilarious how she does absolutly no work but still manages to try to look professional and say financial things that make sense when really she knows just as much about finance as you and me.. unless you are a financial journalist and well then...you've screwed up my point. the main character, Becky is very hilarious and careless and clumsy (like me) and she is really fun to read about. Every girl should read this, not guys really...

Summary: Best Book I've Read in Years!
Review: This book was so good, I started reading the first one, two hours after I bought it, and didn't put it down until the next morning. It was so funny, and the ending was a perfect spin to what one would think would end in a little bit more trouble.
Becky Bloomwood is such a funny character, at some points in time, I would shout out "Becky, I can't believe you just did that!" or "Oh, no, not again!"
Basically, Becky Bloomwood is one of the most interesting characters in any of the books I have read, and believe me I've read my fair share. Rebecca is pretty much a shopaholic, in denial, funny, and interesting woman. That's all I really want to write, but I'll leave you with this: If you want some laughs, read "CONFESSIONS OF A SHOPAHOLIC".

Summary: Lots of Fun and Laughs
Review: I thought that this book was absololtely wonderful. It wasn't laugh out loud funny, but it was more smile the whole way through, witty conversations, kind of funny.
Very good book!!
And she has an awesome name, even if she did steal mine :)

Summary: Such a laugh - for guys?
Review: I'm French and moved recently from Scotland to California. So I can relate so much to Becky..
Unlike all those "romance" books, it's not, absolutly not a fairy tale, it's just a slice of life. Nobody cares about her boyfirend or her wedding. The real hero is her bank account! I just bought #3, and please, WRITE MOREEEEEEEEEEE!

I would highly recommend this book for older guys such as my dad. For once, he could read about a girl without reading a girly book. And then, I hope he would stop complaining about how much his girls are spending! Seriously, I'll give him mine and I'm pretty sure he'll laugh as much as I did.

About your personnal lifer, it addresses some important questions, in such a way that you don't read a "solution" or even an "example" but it's rather a "pointer" to those questions you have been avoiding.
"do I like my job, or only its paycheck?" "how am I dealing with my parents, and with my inlaws?" "do I really wear those ugly pants that were such a good deal (90% off)?"
This book will not change your life, but make you feel so much better...

Summary: Totally FUN Reading
Review: Sophie Kinsella definitely has my repeat business! She's a gifted and FUNNY writer.

Such a page-turner! The heroine is vulnerable but witty and smart. Loved the antics. Can't wait to read the next "Shopaholic" installment!

If you liked "Bridget Jones' Diary," you'll LOVE this book!!!

Summary: THE BEST BOOK EVER
Review: I got Confessions of a Shopoholic from the library on Monday and finished it in one day. The next day I left school early and ran out and bought not only the next two, Shopoholic takes Manhattan and Shopoholic ties the knot, but Confessions of a Shopoholic as well. I immediately sped home, locked myself in my room and by staying up till 3:15 in the morning finished the next two books during the same night. I can't tell you enough how fabulous all three of these books are. Everyone can in some way relate to Becky and her adventures are sooo funny that you won't put this book down until you have finished it. Now I am just depressed because there are no more of her books for me to read. PLEASE let there be one more sequel!!!!!!!

Summary: Excellent novel! I highly recommend this book!
Review: This is one of the funniest books I have ever read (seriously)! The even funnier thing is that I swear that Sophie Kinsella has been using me as her model for the "heroine" Becky Bloomwood!! I can honestly say that I have had most of the same escapades that Becky has had (although I have not had the misfortune of having to dodge my bank representative-YET). I own all of Sophie Kinsella's books (just bought her new book- "Shopaholic Ties the Knot"). If you love a good laugh and love to read, then I highly recommend this book!

Summary: A humorous read about your average woman
Review: Although I do not fall into the category of the typical woman, who spends & doesn't have a way to pay for her spending, I found this book hilarious! I have a sister-in-law in Canada who reminded me of this author and am thinking of buying the book for her - hopefully, she too will find it amusing & not offensive.

Summary: My new best friend!
Review: Becky Bloomwood is truly a kindred spirit! I loved her wonderous shopping sprees and ever so brilliant reasonings with her bankers. I was delighted to see how Becky dealth with the splendor of London shops. Her financial logic with her banker (and she's a Financial Consulant?!) kept me laughing and thinking... hmmm??? Don't make the mistake of thinking this is just another "British-girl" book. Becky Bloomwood is truly someone special! I think she's my new best friend... or my long lost twin sister.
