Summary: Run from this disaster!!
Review: You have to be kidding!!! This book is a joke!!! Scholarly? NO!!
Refreshing? NO!!! A poorly written attempt at surfer humor? Possibly--certainly not a serious book for serious readers of Dante. This is a very loose translation by a surfer, ilustrated (with McDonalds, motorcycles, helicopters)by another surfer. This is the first book I have ever returned to Amazon, but I was so disturbed as to write a letter here to warn others. Who would read this tripe? Surfer-intellectuals, possibly, if they exist. Two definite thumbs down.
