Summary: Different, but entertaining
Review: I actually enjoyed this book. I have read all of JG's books since he first entered the scene. It was very different from some of his earlier stuff, actually reminded me a bit of The Partner. There was really no good or bad guys. Enjoyed the three judges. They actually made me laugh a few times. I was really worried when I read other reviews and hoped that I had not wasted money having the book shipped all the way to Moscow. It was not a waste of money. It was not the best Grisham, but still entertaining.

Summary: Too Short - but good read
Review: Have read all of Grisham's book and the only ones I still buy in Hardcover because I can't wait for the paperback. Enjoyed the book but found it too short. The ending needs another 100 pages at least and lots more details.

Summary: There's no accounting for taste!
Review: I too have read all John's books. This one to me was the one with the most humor. I fell in love with the bumbling Trevor...and was sorta sad when he got blown away before even getting started on his dream existence. Perhaps what sets my view is that I take fiction books as just that...it didn't happen, and probably never will happen, but it was a good read.

Summary: Felt Let Down at the End
Review: This unabridged cassette audio book kept my attention for a 1500 mile drive. Read well. But the ending all happened too fast...I felt rushed...and the weak ending didn't compare to the rest of the book. Disappointing. I imagined an ending much more exciting than Grisham wrote.

Summary: SLOW MOVING
Review: WHILE THIS BOOK DID NOT KEEP ME GLUED TO IT AS DID "THE FIRM", I WAS ABLE TO READ IT IN A REASONABLY SHORT TIME SPAN. THE STORY IS BELIEVABLE IN THAT THE CIA COULD DO WHAT THEY DID IN GETTING LAKE ELECTED AND THAT WAS THE MOST ENJOYABLE PART OF THE BOOK. THE JUDGES WERE A NICE GROUP OF GUYS WHO YOU PROBABLY WOULDN'T MIND HAVING A BEER WITH BUT DON'T SEND THEM ANY MAIL. NOT HIS BEST BUT STILL ENTERTAINING.

Summary: Where's the suspence?
Review: I thought that the book was okay, but nowhere nere as good as what I hove gotten used to. The plot was predictable and there was no suspence. I read it just because I am a Grisham fan, but I thought that it needs a longer ending. It wasn't really boring, but he can do better.

Summary: Very disappointing
Review: Unsavory, unbelievable plot and unsavory, unbelievable characters. This is a real disappointment coming from Grisham. Don't waste your time or money on this one.

Summary: Couldn't Put It Down
Review: Grisham continues to entertain and inform. I have greatly enjoyed all his books. This is of particular interest because I have worked closely with the criminal justice system and the plot is believable. Yes, Grisham does make his political statement, as in The Chamber, he is strongly stating his case. But there is no denying, he is an excellent story teller.

Summary: An incomplete work
Review: I have read and thoroughly enjoyed all of Grisham's previous works, but this one left me a bit disappointed. There was no ending, very little character development, and it really lacked the page-turning suspense that Grisham's novels are famous for. Who is the protagonist in this book? I didn't care about the 3 judges and couldn't even tell them apart. Still, I did like story about the CIA and electing the "perfect," abliet republican, president. For that, I gave the book 3 stars. I just hope Grisham can redeem himself in the future!

Rating: 3 stars
Summary: Not what I expected!
Review: This book is not on par with Grisham's usual flair. I keptwaiting to get to the good part. He would almost take me there andthen drop me like a hot potatoe. I knew what was going to happen before it happened. There was no real excitment. I want the supense of "The Pelican Brief" and the drama of "A Time to Kill" back.
