Review: When I read the introduction to this book, I knew I had a winner. The text is user friendly and a perfect balance of deep insight into the human condition and the sometimes humorous ways that myth showcases those concerns. The storytelling is top-notch. Reading feels more like a conversation and the size of each entry lends itself to a lunch break or quick evening read. I read an entry and spend some time thinking about how it applies to my life. Many mythology books are daunting and seem written for the academic world. This is an entirely different book. It was written for the rest of us.
