Summary: Another solid Baldacci
Review: This is the second Baldacci I have read in the last few months. While it was a bit slow in the beginning, if you can get past that and into the meat of the book, the characterizations are very good. The relationship between Lee and Faith is well developed and quite good. And the brain-games between Danny and the villian keep you guessing.

Baldacci continues to provide vivid pictures, whether violent or sexy. As a reader, he captures you and makes you feel the pain and suffering, while cheering for the rightousness of Danny's attempts at world good.

If you have enjoyed Baldacci's other books, you will enjoy this one. If you have not read others by this author, after the slightly slower beginning, the book takes off and I recommend it.

Summary: This is a six star book
Review: I dind't gave this book 6 stars because this software has only five, since the beginning to the end, the book keeps you reading all the time, is the best book I ever read, the book keeps you in the story all the time and is interesting every word.

Summary: a disappointment... :(
Review: i love david baldacci books. i thought that if his name is on the cover, i would be guaranteed enjoyment, fun, mystery, and plain breathless excitement. but, saving faith disappoints me. i didnt understand much of it and needless to say, i didnt enjoy it. it felt as if i was reading a book by another author, there was none of the trademark things i have come to expect from his books. the ones i truly enjoyed were absolute power, total control and the winner..

Summary: Keep the faith-this book is great!
Review: I read this book a while ago and really enjoyed it. Then I read more of David Baldacci's work and liked it all--however, "Saving Faith" is still my favorite. It has everything, suspense, well drawn and compelling characters, a tightly woven plot, romance and intelligent dialogue. I won't rehash the plot. You'll have to read the book for that- but you'll be glad you did.

Summary: Reasonable workmanship keeps the reader from total boredom
Review: But honestly, it doesn't miss total boredom by very much.

A young whistleblower named Faith Lockwood is under attack by powerful forces for what she's planning to tell. When a private investigator is pulled into the situation accidentally, he and Faith go on the run without any clarity about who to trust.

There's some decent writing in _Saving Faith_, but unfortunately it never passes 'decent'. I'd save my pennies for a better book and take this one out from the library.

Summary: Faith needed to be saved...
Review: Look! There on the shelf! Is it a political thriller? Is it a spy story? Is it a techno-thriller? Yes to all of the above! I've yet to be disappointed by one of Baldacci's books, and this one is no exception. At times, though, it seems he's having to work really hard to keep the suspense building, rather than just bringing things to a conclusion.

All in all, a great read.

Summary: A Huge Disappointment
Review: The premise of the plot & its ending are totally unbelievable. Even though the characters are somewhat likable - especially the PI, by mid-book I was not that interested to see what became of them. It seems that little effort on Baldacci's part went into this story.

Rating: 3 stars
Summary: Blended Genre Novel: Romance with Thriller
Review: If Baldacci were a woman writer, you probably would find this novel categorized as romantic suspense. Ironically, although he is known as a thriller writer, in this novel he succeeds better with the romantic aspects. The plot line you've seen before. The FBI is interviewing and protecting a witness, Faith, when all of a sudden, she almost gets killed and her protector agent does get killed. She is saved by a private investigator who becomes her love interest. They keep one step ahead of both the FBI and CIA. The FBI wants them alive but a honcho at the CIA wants them dead. This CIA man is such a cliche in every respect as a villain that he almost ruins the book. Nonetheless, this novel moves right along and is diverting entertainment that you will forget as soon as you read the last page.

Summary: mesmerizing
Review: Baldacci again, has weaved a intricate government, spook,FBI tale. Unlike some writers he managed to keep it to the understanding of most readers. This offering causes thoughts of possibility after the horrors of September 11. My belief that fiction has a degree of fact in most novels, either personal experience or studied research confirm that. Saying all that, he has again written a wonderful story that leaves you thinking.

Summary: Alright, but not my style
Review: Saving Faith was definatly a great book towards the end. Things picked up the pace and everything was finally making some sense. The beginning, however, seemed slow to me and maybe it's because this isn't the usual type of book that I read. I'm not so interested in the political type books. It did eventually get better though and I've definately read worse.
