Rating: Summary: Two great contemporary erotic stories! Review: Ann Jacobs writes characters you can really connect with. These books are both hot, but there's deep emotion and conflict within the characters that makes them so much more than just other books full of hot, imaginative sex. I like that in both of these stories, it's one man, one woman, and that the sex works in with the feelings. In His Own Defense is pure romance with steam heat, while Bittersweet Homecoming brings lovers together again after eight years. Gray, the hero, has suffered severe injuries and fears he won't be able to satisfy Andi, who he remembers as a hot-blooded sub to the Dominant male he can no longer be--at least physically. I loved both of these stories, but the way Gray and Andi dealt with their deep emotional conflicts in Bittersweet Homecoming made it a book I'll re-read over and over.
