Rating: Summary: Pretty Good Book Review: Overall, I enjoyed reading the story and once I got through the first few chapters I didn't want to put it down. Some things about dieting in the opening chapter were easy to relate to. However, it is not really the main character that suffers from anexoria. Therefore, I almost felt there was too much focus on the main character's love life rather than on the disease. I would recommend it for someone in their late teens-early 20s. If you are expecting to learn about anexoria, this book might not be exactly what you expect.
Rating: Summary: Amazing Review: I loved this book so much. I thought it was amazing. One of my favorite books definitally~! I couldn't put it down! I originally picked up this book because I myself, like Shelly, have an eatting disorder. I cried, laughed, and smiled all during this book. It really hits you deep! I think the way this was written was well done. I liked that it was anorexia threw her sisters eyes. It gave you a great feel of how family interprets this disease and how it effects everyone around you more than you think. I also liked the character of Frannie a lot. I thought she was a very strong character and she should of been of course! It was a great read. I loved all the characters.. they seemed so real to me. I thought ratboy was funny and that the relationship between frannie and her grandfather was quite sweet. READ THIS BOOK~ It is awesome and I recommend it! It hooks you right from the start.
Rating: Summary: funny and poignant Review: I really loved this book. It had a lot of heart which you dont always find in chick lit these days! Very real and genuine characters.
Rating: Summary: Pretty Good Book Review: This book took a little while to get off the ground for me, the characters didn't seem like they were tightly drawn at first. However, as the book progressed, I became very involved in the story. I cried through the whole second half of the book. I was focusing less on the eating disorder (it is different for everyone) and more on the mother-daughter and sisters' relationships.
