Rating: Summary: IMAGINE THIS Review: I THINK THIS WAS A GOOD BOOK/BUT THE FIRST BOOK LET THAT BE THE REASON WHY WAS BETTER TOO ME BUT STILL EXACTLY BOOK FAST GOOD READ
Rating: Summary: IT WAS COOL, BUT... Review: I TOO, LIKE OTHERS, WAITED FOR THIS BOOK. I MUST SAY, IT WAS GOOD, BUT I WANTED A LITTLE BIT MORE. HOPEFULLY, I'LL GET IT IN THE NEXT BOOK, BUT FOR NOW, MY MOUTH IS A LITTLE DRY. I STILL LIKE THIS AUTHORS WORK AND I WILL PURCHASE ANYTHING THAT SHE WRITES.
Rating: Summary: Don't Imagine This Review: I waited patiently for the sequel to Let that be the Reason, the book was slow but once I got into it was just okay. I hated the ending was she psycho or what, I know she was facing some serious time but the whole conversation with her alter ego as visitor was unrealistic.
Rating: Summary: THIS BOOK WASNT GOOD AT ALL Review: I WAS SO SUSPRISED ABOUT THIS BOOK IT WAS SO SLOW I COULDNT BELIEVE IT. I GAVE THIS BOOK TO A FRIEND TO READ AND SAID THE SAMETHING. THIS WASNT THE BOOK OF THE YEAR. SORRY
Rating: Summary: DISAPPOINTING! Review: I WAS VERY UPSET IN THIS BOOK!! LET THAT BE THE REASON WAS EXCELLENT, WHAT HAPPENED? I THOUGHT THE SEQUEL WOULD OF BEEN BETTER OR A LEAST THE SAME. I HOPE HER NEXT NOVEL IS WORTH MY TIME CAUSE THIS ONE WASN'T!!
Rating: Summary: The Ugly Side of The Game Review: IMAGINE THIS, the conclusion to Let That Be The Reason, tells the story of the other side of the game, the side that is not glamorized - the ugly side. Pamela is behind bars awaiting trial, while new evidence continues to surface that will keep her there for a very long time. Chino, the father of her son, turned his back on her and has no regrets. The crew she once kept company with are nowhere around and continue to hustle without giving her further thought. She is left only with the support of her family, but they can not solve her problems, only she can see to it that she comes out on top.
IMAGINE THIS started out as a very intense read. I was able to feel the pain and anguish Pamela went through while in prison. The longing for her son and the emotional instability of not knowing the outcome of her situation felt real. It was heart wrenching and I would have shed a tear but Ms. Stringer threw in a bit of comic relief to lighten the mood. The novel is written with great emotion but the storyline weakens when it focuses on peripheral characters and not on Pamela. It started out with a bang but ended with a fizzle.

Rating: Summary: Consequences Review: In her debut novel, Let That Be the Reason, Vickie Stringer introduced readers to Pamela, a single mom, who resorts to illegal means to support herself and her son, and her alter-ego "Carmen" a street wise hustler who ran an empire until it all came crashing down and landed her in prison. Carmen's story continues in Stringer's sequel, Imagine This. Whereas Carmen was the primary storyteller in Let That Be the Reason, Pamela is the focus of Imagine This. Pamela is desperately trying to deal with her situation of being imprisoned without her son while Chino, her son's father, and the love of her life is not only free but also hustling. She also has to deal with threats against her life as all those involved with her ponder whether or not she will stay true to the game and not become a witness. Most of all, Pamela has to struggle with her alter ego, Carmen who wants to still have love for the same streets that have left her for dead.
Filled with drama and emotion, Imagine This is a heartwrenching tale of the consequences of street life. The novel shows the harsh realities of life behind bars and the strength of those who endure it. Most of all this is a tale of self-discovery and choices, as the main character tries to figure out who she is, Pamela a devoted mother, or Carmen a ride or die street hustling chick. Vickie Stringer is to be commended not only for writing a page-turning novel of street life, but for also surviving the trials that she writes of.

Rating: Summary: Should have waited Review: This book was a major disappointment, especially after LET THAT BE THE REASON. I think the author should have waited a little longer for the sequel. Probably until after she developed a better story.
Rating: Summary: Imagine This Book Should Be Given More Stars Review: This was a very well written story with good editing and a good storyline. I really enjoyed this sequel better than the first book. It had more of a storyline and just overall Vickie Stringer shows that she truly is an author. I am very surprised because the first book was not my cup of tea at all. But Vickie throws her came down tight in Imagine This.
Rating: Summary: EXCELLENT BOOK Review: VICKIE STRINGER IS THE BOMB THIS BOOK PICKS RIGHT UP FROM WHERE IT LEFT OFF, IN LET THAT BE THE REASON PAM AKA (CARMEN) IS A TRIP BUT HOME GIRL KEPT IT TOGETHER SHE DIDN'T RUN HER MOUTH AND STILL WILL GET TO GO HOME TO BE WITH HER SON. I REALLY HOPE THERE'S MORE TO THE STORY BECAUSE WHEN IT ENDED HER ALTER EGO WAS TALKING TO HER. JUST BUY THE BOOK IT'S WORTH THE TIME AND THE MONEY.
