Rating: Summary: Take Me To Tuscany Review: After reading Summer in Tuscany, I want to hop on a plane and go there myself. Elizabeth Adler's descriptions of the Tuscan countryside and the wonderful restaurants made it all come alive for me. Add to that an exciting romance and you have one great read.
Rating: Summary: Pleasant story Review: Dr. Gemma Jericho is a single mom who is stuck in a rut of work and parenting. Her mother, a native of Italy, finds out that she has inherited a villa in her birthplace and she persuades Gemma and her daughter to come with her to claim her property. When they arrive, they discover that the villa is already occupied by a handsome American who has bought the property. The book is pretty predictable from there on, but it is a pleasant read and the Italian background is described beautifully by author Adler.

Rating: Summary: A Great Summer Read Review: Elizabeth Adler gets right to the heart of her characters, bringing them alive in a hundred quirky details. She takes you to places you've never been and makes you wish you could go there...... I know Bella Piacere is an imaginary village, but it and the Villa Piacere are alive in the pages of this book. Gemma Jericho is a woman with a tough job and a nutty family, but you fall in love with all of them from page l - including Sinbad the fat ginger cat, and not the least, sexy Ben Raphael. I want to meet a man like that!
Rating: Summary: IT WAS WONDERFUL AND A KEEPER Review: Every now an then, I have the chance to read a book that just takes me away, lets me fall in love with the characters, and lets me enjoy a part of a life that I don't get to experience right now. I really fell in love with this book and all of the characters.I am an avid reader, and I have read books that have been okay, mediocare, etc. but every so often a book comes along that I fall in love, it has something to say to me, and I learn something. I put this book on the top of my list of VERY FAVORITE BOOKS. It just swept me off my feet. Since I am a widow, and have had a hard time of letting somethings go in my life, I could absolutely understand where Gemma was coming from. Chase was the love of her life, and I could feel how torn she was between Ben and Chase. I could also understand how she felt that she was being disloyal to Chase by loving Ben. I got a kick out of Rocco and Nonna. They were cute. I laughed out loud when Ben walked in on Muffie and Livvie after coming back from town. I could understand the horror of seeing Muffie's green hair. Having raised a daughter I know what goes thourgh the mind of a teenager and preteen. Maggie was wonderful----She had just the right of color to be eccentric. Anyone wonder if there ever was a Mr. Donati????? Who care's it was a great story. I hope Elizabeth Adler writes a sequel because I sure would like to know whtat happens to Ben, Gemma, Muffie, Livvie, Rocco, and Nonna.....Would you????? IF ANY ONE HAS A COPY OF IT, IN MY MIND IT'S A KEEPER!!!!!

Rating: Summary: Weak book for Adler Review: I always expect Adler to send out all kinds of tentacles in her books and at the end, tie everything together. This is not a typical Adler book. I enjoyed the descriptions of Italy, the plot was weak, but was fun to read, put down and not think about again. I always call these kind of books "Visa paying books." By that, I mean its a short, quick, nothing book that everyone will buy because it has an author's name on it that you like and then the author can pay their monthly Visa bill. A no-effort book. Instead of buying, go to the library.

Rating: Summary: transporting!! Review: I found this book to be very good. I couldn't put it down. Also, I now rank Italy as one of the places I have to visit someday. She really brought the place alive to me. Read it, you'll like it.
Rating: Summary: A Fantastic Journey! Review: I liked this even more than Last Time I Saw Paris.... I'm a big Elizabeth Adler fan and have read all her books and she always surprises me with a new style, or a new twist on life. Currently she;s into a travelling mode and I love being taken along with her - and the eccentric Jericho family to Tuscany, and to Positano, Rome, and Florence.......it's not a guided tour, it's just written with love.
