Summary: ENTHRALLING
Review: THIS IS ONE OF THE BEST BOOKS I HAVE READ, IT HAS BEEN ALMOST 2 YRS SINCE I READ IT AND I STILL PICK IT UP AND READ IT AGAIN AND AGAIN. I WAS SO OBSESSED WITH THIS BOOK THAT I SCARED MYSELF. RNP HAS A RESPECT FOR FEMALE CHARACTERS THAT I HAVE NOT SEEN IN A LOT OF OTHER BOOKS BY OTHER AUTHORS. THIS IS AN ABSOLUTE MUST READ, CURL UP WITH IT AND YOU WILL READ IT COVER TO COVER OVER AND OVER!

Summary: Great Story
Review: This is the first I have read of Richard North Patterson. What a good one to start with. It was wonderful storytelling, and even though i am not a big fan of legal thrillers, i couldn't really put this one down. I can't wait to dive into my next R.N.P.

Summary: Great Storytelling!
Review: If you like great storytelling, suspense, character development, and courtroom scenes, this book is for you. I've read 8 books in the past couple of months and this is the best by far. Patterson takes you on a great ride, keeps you on the edge of your seat and, naturally, saves the best for last. Enjoy it because it doesn't get much better than this!

Summary: One of my all-time favorite legal thrillers!
Review: I recently discovered Richard North Patterson, and have been devouring his books. Each one has been excellent. Silent Witness is the best I've read. The story line is totally captivating, packed with surprises, and the ending couldn't have been done any better. On top of all this, the characterization was so deep and real that I had a hard time remembering it was fiction. This is truly one of the best books I've ever read. I'd enjoy hearing from other readers who felt the same, and would appreciate some recommendations from them.

Summary: Congratulations Mr Patterson !!!

Summary: Two parallel stories fit together perfectly
Review: This has to be one of the best books I've ever read. I couldn't put the thing down. The first story kept me on the edge of my seat and seemed to be good enough to fill an entire book itself. The transfer to the second half was smooth and created an equally enthralling story that perfectly paralleled the first. The ending was intense and suprising. I wish I could read it again for the first time.

Summary: Predictable
Review: Knew "who did it" within first chapter. Ending was predictable. Great characters but no suspense.

Rating: 4 stars
Summary: I had trouble putting this one down
Review: This was the first book that I had read by Patterson - based mainly on Amazon.com reviews - and I enjoyed it. The characterization is well done, and the writing style engages the reader immediately. One minor drawback is that the author occasionally lapses into some clumsy purple prose. Patterson uses flashbacks to lend a present feeling to past events, and the technique is generally effective. He manages to do this without losing the narrative drive throughout the book. About the only complaint that I have is the abundance of profanity. This is typical of most books of this type, but most people find the f-word offensive and are tired of being subjected to it. I will probably read another one of the author's books - based on the readers' reviews, of course.
