Rating: Summary: Word of Honor Review Review: I have been engrossed in the Newpoint 911 series and have read all three. The best so far is "Word of Honor". I didn't just read it, I devoured it. I was completely absorb in the characters, the story and the passion. My only regret is that I have to wait for the next installment!
Rating: Summary: A Quick Paced Page Turner Review: I have read all of Terri Blackstocks christian books. The Newpoint series was the best yet, I have become a continual reader of Terri's books. Her books have given me a deeper determination to take a closer look at my Christian Life. I can relate to some of her characters. I can't wait until the next book in this series is released. I really learned a lot about Covenants and have taken a closer look at what the Bible have to say about Covenants, it is interesting to put that belief into every day living. This books was like looking at a movie, I read this book in one day and was disappointed to come to the end. Keep up the good work Terri and may God continue to Bless You.
Rating: Summary: Great Book -- East Read -- Hard to Put Down Review: I read this book for a high school project for english class I really loved the book. I think you will enjoy it too. The twists and turns make the book fun and hard to predict. You learn who does the crime right away but you wonder why and he he gets caught. Great Book Terri.
Rating: Summary: Proof that Terri Blackstock knows her stuff! Review: I would have to say that Terri Blackstock has shown her abilities as a writer once again in this book. She has demonstrated an absolutely excellent writing ability when it comes to this whole series! I greatly enjoyed "Word of Honor," and some of the themes of a covenant that were so prevalent in this book that I think are oftentimes overlooked so easily in our society. Mind you, I think there are a couple of points in which priorities lose their place in this book, but I also believe that they are restored before the end. I enjoy the murder mystery that is held in the story of one man's faithfulness to God, his family, and his friend. I also really enjoy the story behind Jill and Dan and all the struggles of their relationship while they're still so on and off. Most of all, I love the Christ-centered theme of all of Terri Blackstock's books. This is one sister in Christ who really knows how to write 'em!

Rating: Summary: Raises Serious Questions Review: In general, I like Terri Blackstock's novels & this Newpointe series in particular even though I have a lot of nit-picking criticisms of them! However, even though I enjoyed this novel I had some serious problems with the covenant theme & Jerry's character. I though it raised some very problematic questions about a Christian's duty. Every review I read on this site was effusive with praise for this book. Didn't any of you have a question about the way this covenant theme was played out? Frankly, I cannot agree with Jerry's outlook even though I can sympathize with it. The author tiptoes around the difficult questions she herself has brought up as part of the plot. Despite some erratic behavior, Jerry is portrayed as basically a good guy, but where are the Christians who would bring up other considerations. What loyalty does one owe to a maniac who is a danger to society & to one's own family? How can it be Christian to facilitate the escape of such a person out of a sincere but misguided notion of covenant-keeping? What would ultimately be for Frank's own good? To let him go on killing & ultimately destroy himself & innocent people? Sorry, but I can't accept that. There's some very faulty theology here.

Rating: Summary: Great Review: Terri Blackstock continues to entertain us with well-written christian narratives. Word of Honor rivits the reader to each page as the heroine struggles with keeping her word to the man who held her hostage yet claims to be innocent. Blackstock weaves a tale so realistic of how circumstances can be different than they look. Great characterizations and true to life scenes make this a fabulous read. Rating: Summary: The best in the series Review: Terri Blackstock's latest Newpointe 911 is the best of the bunch! Unlike the earlier two books in the series, the reader knows right away "whodunnit." However, this knowledge does not spoil the outcome at all; on the contrary, the twists and turns that the plot takes as the culprit is pursued keep you on the edge of your seat. As always, Blackstock's plots also involve a spiritual awakening for at least one of the main characters, and the revival of attorney Jill Clark is a major plotline of Word of Honor. How she copes with an unusual client who has some very black-and-white religious beliefs ties in with Jill's gradual renewal and deeper understanding of her own Christian faith. Word of Honor is Terri at her best, and I can hardly wait for the next in the series.
