Summary: good read
Review: As usual, this is another good one by EJD. He has yet to let me down. The read is easy. I finished this book in two days. The characters and plots are binding. The only aspect of the book that I did not like is the change in characters and bulk of information provided for one character in particular (Inda). At first, EJD provides short introductions about his characters, which is good. Then he goes in to detail about each, equally good. Then, contrary to what you may think, he provides a lot of detail about Inda, and not as much for the others. This is surprising when reading the book because he doesn't initially portray Inda as his protagonist. In hindsight, perhaps he used her to try to tie in all of the other characters. However, he should have wrote a short introduction about her like he did with the others at the beginning of the book instead of waiting to the middle of the book to introduce her to the reader. Other than that, the book is wonderful. I look forward to reading EJD's latest. Enjoy!

Summary: I couldn't put these books down....
Review: Eric, I have read Sister, Sister; Friends and Lovers, and Milk in My Coffee in the course of one week and I have to admit, not only are these books entertaining, they are informative. I have seen myself in similar relationship situations presented in these books and think, "how can a man possibly understand a woman's perspective on relationships?" But the situations are real, not something out of some fairy tales. These characters hit home and make me introspective about my own behaviors in relationships. Plus, these book are pure hilarious. I can't wait for Cheaters to come out in paperback(I'm in college and on a budget so I have to pass on the hardcover books). Thanks so much for the authenticity of your characters and your wit. Summary: RUN, do not walk, to your nearest bookstore to get this gem!
Review: I cannot say loud enough how much I enjoyed the debut novel Sister Sister by the fantastic new author Eric Jerome Dickey. The first time I read this book (in December of 1996) I could not put it down and finished it in one day. I'm currently reading it for the second time to get another dose of my girls Valerie, Inda, and Chiquita and their realistic, exciting, and hilarious lives and loves. If you haven't read this book yet, all I got to say is: What are you waiting on??? You won't be disappointed and you will be thoroughly entertained! P.S. Scratch my booty!

Summary: Surprisingly Dissapointed
Review: I just got finished reading "Cheaters" before I read "Sister,Sister" and I loved "Cheaters" so I ran out and picked up "Sister, Sister" thinking that it would be equally as good and I was really disappointed. Sometimes the book was narrative and at other times the characters would talk to us (the readers) and then the characters would start speaking to each other. I was a little confused as to who exactly was telling the story. I thought it was alittle ghetto at times too. The characters, Inda and Valerie spoke a little silly at times by saying "Scratch my Booty." I was alittle tired of them saying that to each other. I mean I know some lines are meant to be funny in the story but for the education, Inda had, it just didn't seem realistic to me that she would speak like that. I thought that the situations that they were in were interesting at times but at other times something would happen that would just be unrealistic to me and I would be turned off. I really didn't like the ending either. I basically just finished the book to give it the benefit of the doubt but there were defintely times where I was ready to put the book down and say "Forget It." However, I do know that Eric Jerome Dickey is a great writer, I just didn't this book was that one of his best.

Review: I thought that the book Sister,Sister was a very good book. I think the Dickey captured the things that women go through in life. I mean the way he puts Valerie in the position about her marriage and her so called friend is great.This is a great book. I see why it was a best-seller

Summary: Sister, Sister - Real Women
Review: I thought the book was enjoyable but it wasn't quite as gripping as I tend to like a good book to be when I'm reading. I need it to hold my interest. The girl's reactions to some of the things that occurred were not always ideal but there was realism overall when things went down. The story did have me laughing in parts but I thought the story fell sort of flat for the ending. I give four stars because it's still worth the read for EJD fans.

Summary: Troubled Love Lives
Review: Many people write stories about women who are troubled or in a bad relationship. Women are the one's who usually write these books. For a man to share what he thinks how women act is wonderful. This book that E.J.D. wrote, made me feel like he knew what he was talking about. This book talked the real deal. Some books don't have the quality that E.J.D. have in his books. It makes you feel that you are in his book. It made me think about good times and bad. This book is hilarious. The things that he thought of for this book, I never would have done. This book does give you some outrageous ideas. E.J.D. wrote about three women who are having man trouble. Valerie, whose husband doesn't appreciate her, is the sister of Inda. Inda, Linda without the L, is divorced and looking for a man. Chiquita, whose boyfriend is cheating on her, is a flight attendant. Between these three ladies there are many surprises. E.J.D. has a great imagination. His imagination is so good; I would've thought a woman wrote this. When I read about Valerie, I felt so sorry for her. For her man to treat her like that and call her names, I wanted to beat him up. This girl has spent over six years of her life to a waste of a broke down jock. She did not deserve the grief this man was giving her. She was cooking, cleaning, washing his dirty draws and he was not even appreciating her. I was so happy when she finally hooked up with Daniel. He made me feel good inside. Daniel is "Mr. Do Right". Inda is Valerie's oldest sister. Inda had troubles with her husband and got a divorce. She is a feisty sister. Her personality is strong and wild. After her divorce with her husband she met Raymond. He is the man she fell in love with. He's soon going to be the man with no life, you have to read it to find out why? Inda loves her sister Valerie very much. Chiquita character was very good as well. She is a flight attendant, who visits her boyfriend from time to time. I can't tell you who her boyfriend is, but you will find out. Chiquita ended up breaking up with her man and started talking to Valerie and Inda's brother Brown. There is a connection between Inda and Chiquita. They recently became good friends. They were by each other side when they broke up with their boyfriends (ha, ha, ha). This book is beyond my expectations. Family and friends told me this book was good. And they weren't lying. This book makes you use your imagination to the fullest. I believe E.J.D. views are about trouble love lives are very real. It is a shame that some men act like they do. They must feel that they want get caught or pay for their consequences. E.J.D. shared with us the consequences these men had in his book. Especially Walter. Walter may have had it worse than anybody. All the women did something bad to their man, but Valerie set it off.

Summary: Hilarious and heart-warming!
Review: Sister, Sister was the most amusing, surprising, and heart-warming story I've read. I laughed and cheered from beginning to end and thoroughly enjoyed the life-like characters created by Mr. Dickey. (He must have wonderfully honest female friends or is truly sensitive himself or both to create such a natural drama on paper). The female and male characters were so real. The women were strong (or became strong) and soft without the cockiness of Amazons. The men even seem sincere and honest, even the "pie dog" who was honestly proud to be a dog. Anyway... After the excitement, Mr. Dickey creatively ends the story on a heart-warming note. He reminds readers of the bonds that strengthen our families and friendships. EXCELLENT READ!

Review: This book started off slow so the first time i started to read it I put it down. After a few months and nothing else to read, I decided to try again. I'm glad i did becuse it turned out to be a really good book. I love the way EJD bring back characters from his other books and how the three main characters' lives in this book tie together.
