Rating: Summary: EASY READING/ENTERTAINING Review: ROBIN SCHWARZ'S SENSE OF HUMOR AND GREAT PHILOSPHY OF LIFE IS REFLECTED IN HER CHARACTERS CHARLOTTE AND DOLLY. I AM LOOKING FORWARD TO HER NEXT BOOK.
Rating: Summary: night swimming Review: Stunningly beautiful novel with unforgettable characters. The heroine Charolette is disarming in her honesty and full of heart. Throughout her exciting journey she shares her thoughts and emotions with an intimate passion and zeal. When she receives her devasting diagnosis of one year to live, she throws caution to the wind and decides to live in the time she's been given. In her tenacious grab for life, Charolotte reflects back to us with great clarity, that the choices we make big or small can change our lives dramatically. Robin Schwarz has her pulse on every character and situation. There is suspense, mystery, raw emotion and love. The author's writing is simple and eloquent...this is a must read...I felt like I was leaving a good friend when I closed the cover.
Rating: Summary: WONDERFUL, UPLIFTING READ Review: THIS BOOK REALLY MAKES YOU THINK ABOUT HOW YOU LIVE YOUR LIFE. THESE CHARACTERS ARE SO REAL, SO DESCRIPTIVE YOU CAN ACTUALLY PICTURE THEM IN YOUR HEAD. I HONESTLY LOOKED FORWARD TO EVERY TIME I HAD A FREE MOMENT TO READ..IT IS A "FEEL GOOD" BOOK AND I THOROUGHLY ENJOYED READING "NIGHT SWIMMING". ROBIN IS AN OBVIOUS TALENT AND I LOOK FORWARD TO HER NEXT NOVEL!!!
Rating: Summary: Night swimming Review: Was a fast read, but I mean in the nicest possible way. I literally could not put it down. There are enough twists and turns to keep you interested. Poor Charlotte. First, she thinks she's dying and robs a bank, and then falls for the wrong guy, of course. But the love interest is minor. I would think the essence is that hopefully, we all grow and change in life. And we do learn even from the most trying experiences. I highly recommend it to everyone. It's not just a chick book. Thought provoking and sweet, without being cloying.
Rating: Summary: not bad for a first-time writer Review: While I wanted to give this book 4 stars, the dialogue between Charlotte and Dolly prevented me from doing so. That part of the book was the only flaw i could find. I did think Skip and "Blossom" had some chemistry, but their conversations sounded like first graders talking on a playground. I did like the book overall, and will read RS next offering.
